Welcome!

Anusia Cafe opened in June, 2011. It is running alongside Metcalfe's cookshop which migrated from next door.

The cafe is vegetarian and predominately organic just like The Green House was, just this time we are only open in the daytime (7 days per week).

David and Ania are very pleased to have opened Cafe Anusia. We love visiting great coffee shops ourselves, so we thought that we would create this place here in Tring.
We are also  great food lovers, as well as eating cake, we want to provide great tasting and delicious meals! We are both vegetarians and keen to support organic growers and local providers of quality produce, so here for you are lots of great offerings to enjoy.

Anusia comes from  Ania.
In Polish language, words are transformed depending on where they are in
the sentence (subject, object etc), making learning Polish a challenging
proposition. David is currently taking up this momentous task! Anusia is basically
a nickname of Ania and is pronounced anoosha.

We have a room on the first floor for private hire and we hope to be doing the
occasional evening function. Also, we set up a children play corner, so all mums and dads are invited with their babies and toddlers to have a quiet tea or lunch while your children are playing next to you. Please leave your email address for up to date
news.

We have just gained a 3 star rating from The Sustainable Restaurant Association

Anusia Cafe underwent a sustainability survey during October, 2011. The survey dealt with sourcing of produce, energy use, waste, treatment of employees and community involvement. Anusia scored 73% and 70% is needed to gain the top rating of 3 stars.
